Karen joined the practice in August of 2007. She attended undergraduate school at Virginia Tech. Following her undergraduate education, she returned to her native New York to attend Veterinary school at Cornell University. From there, she spent a year with Blue Ridge Equine in central Virginia as in intern. Life after Blue Ridge took her back to New York.

    Not surprisingly, she missed Virginia, once again left New York and landed here with us and we could not be more pleased. Karen brings with her a great understanding of medicine and a strong background in lameness diagnosis. What she lacks in stature she makes up for in tenacity.

    When she is not running around in her truck she enjoys spending time with her husband Jim, dog Simone and riding her horse Georgia. Jim and Karen were joined in matrimony in June of '09.
